The Balmoral Show 2014

The 146th Balmoral Show will take place in its new home, the Balmoral Park for the second time on the 14th-16th May 2014 and for the 6th year in a row the Ulster bank is the principal sponsor. There was a fear last year that after moving away from the Kings Hall after so long that it would not be the same as before but those fears proved to be unjust as last year proved to be one of the most successful shows as farmers, business people and the public arrived in their droves to look at over 500 trade stands exhibiting a wide array of products, livestock competitions & show jumping, this year we can expect much of the same.

Moving to Balmoral Park has given the Balmoral Show the ability to grow and expand thanks to the extra space that the Balmoral Park offers, twice that of its former home in the Kings Hall Belfast. The move has allowed the Show organizers to offer many more improvements ranging from better parking facilities to additional livestock competitions.

Although the show was a complete success last year the move did not come without it’s problems, chief among those being the influx of extra traffic that would be arriving in Lisburn with many locals worried about delays with the already rush hour madness and parking problems with many fearing that they will be trapped in their own homes. The show organizers tried to ease these problems by encouraging visitors to travel via public transport with discounts on admission fees if the visitor showed a valid bus or train ticket.

This year John Riddel & Son Ltd will be at the show with their own stand and welcome current and future customers to come along and visit us. We will have our experienced Reps there to deal with any inquiries you may have and you never know you might come away with a very good deal.
